Hard Rain (also known as The Flood in some regions) is an action-thriller set during a catastrophic natural disaster.
The story follows armored truck driver Tom (played by Christian Slater), who is transporting millions of dollars through a small Indiana town just as it becomes overwhelmed by a massive flood. When a group of criminals led by the ruthless Jim (played by Morgan Freeman) attempts to hijack the money, the rising waters turn the town into a dangerous battleground.
As streets transform into rushing rivers and buildings collapse under pressure, Tom must outsmart both the criminals and the deadly floodwaters. With limited allies—including a determined local woman—he fights to survive and protect the stolen cash from falling into the wrong hands.
