The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) is the second movie in The Hunger Games series, based on Suzanne Collins’ book.
Basic Plot (no big spoilers)
After winning the first Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return home as heroes. But their victory makes the government (the Capitol) nervous—because people across the districts are starting to see Katniss as a symbol of rebellion.
To stop this, the Capitol announces a special Hunger Games called the Quarter Quell, forcing past winners to compete again. Katniss and Peeta are sent back into a new, more dangerous arena with other skilled tributes.
Inside the arena, they face deadly traps, powerful enemies, and surprising alliances, while rebellion against the Capitol quietly grows outside.
